Burnwood
Burnwood is the new playable map in the Wizard update. It features two gates right next to the player's castle and a strong bottleneck at the bottom of the screen.
It also demonstrates how campfire carelessness can have dire results.

Apple Woes
I am very sad to announce that after 4 weeks of waiting, Apple has rejected our App submission, meaning the much awaited 1.01 update to Hero Defense has to go back to the end of the line and politely wait its turn.
I'm sure many of you are left wondering "Why did this happen?", and "Why is Apple so mean?". I wish I had an answer for you. I did, however, think it would be appropriate to let you know why Apple turned us down in the first place -
- because we included the word "Warcraft" in our search terms. Yup, that's it. They could have easily taken the word out themselves and continued through the process of reviewing our app. They also could have sent us an email requesting the change and continue with the review process. Instead, they took the easiest way out and just flat out denied us (they are also refusing to answer our emails on the subject).
Gentle listener, I personally apologize for the stall in this process. We at Brilliant Worlds are highly focused on making Hero Defense the best hero defense game on the iPhone, and we promise to continue to provide robust updates based on community feedback...
...I guess, as long as Apple lets us.

Some New Icons
Brilliant Worlds has discovered some new icons. With our limited understanding of historical data from this time period, we are at a loss to understand their true meaning. What were they used for? Are they artwork, or some sort of archaic language that time forgot?
This is most likely a riddle best left to the ancients, but one thing is for sure: they are totally going into our next update.

Congrats Caleb!

Oh, and here's a cool review to check out while you wait from mobiletechreview.com

App Day 2
Wow, we wanted to post and let everyone know how happy we are with the response that we have received so far! We are already furiously writing down all of the excellent suggestions we are seeing, and taking diligent notes on everyone's likes and dislikes.
Notes So Far
A way to heal the castle
Better pathing for the dwarfs
A way to save character stats
Story-Driven gameplay elements
We intend to keep Hero Defense only .99 cents during this soft launch phase. We look forward to improving the game with you over the next few months. Thank you.

Hear the music of Hero Defense!
Hi! I'm Nathan Madsen, a reformed alcoholic and a composer. (Well, actually just a composer!) I had the privilege of writing the score for Hero Defense and wanted to share a few of the tracks.
Title Theme
Game Play Theme 1
Boss Theme
I hope you enjoy the tracks and please check out the game once it's released.
Thanks,
Nathan
